Puzzlez is a free puzzle games app and website. There are no accounts, your game saves stay on your device, and the website uses cookie-free analytics to measure visits and gameplay. Wordle and Hangman also request definitions from an external dictionary service.
Puzzlez does not require accounts, logins, names, email addresses, or other personal information to play. We do not add user or device identifiers to gameplay events.
For Blocks on the website, we count when runs start, resume, finish, set a new best, or are shared, and when the game mode changes. The gameplay properties contain only the mode, coarse ranges for score, lines, chains and trays, and whether a Daily finish was official. These properties never include raw scores, board layouts, puzzle seeds, board hashes, or text you type. The analytics service also receives the website information described below.
Game progress, statistics, and settings are saved in your browser's local storage (web) or on-device storage (mobile app). We do not upload those saved records. Website gameplay events use the limited properties described above, including when a saved run resumes. Using Share copies a result to your clipboard so you can choose where to share it.
The website uses hosted Plausible Analytics, a third-party analytics processor. Its script sends individual page visits and gameplay events with page URL and referrer information, and measures page engagement. Plausible stores event and session records to produce aggregate reports.
According to Plausible's data policy, it uses IP addresses and browser User-Agent information to derive approximate location, browser and device categories, and a daily, site-specific visitor identifier. It does not store raw IP addresses or User-Agent strings, use cookies, or track visitors across sites, devices, or days.
We do not use advertising services or sell analytics data. The mobile app currently sends no analytics events.
On the website and mobile app, Wordle and Hangman look up word definitions from the Free Dictionary API. Each request contains only the puzzle's answer word, never anything you type, but like any web request it exposes your device's IP address to that service, which we do not control.
Puzzlez does not use cookies, and the analytics service we use does not set them. Game progress, statistics, and settings live in your browser's local storage, not in cookies.
Our games do not ask children to provide personal information. The same local storage and website analytics practices described above apply to all visitors.
